About Alyshia
Fully Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor
I was first introduced to Pilates at professional Ballet School as part of body conditioning and dance training. Pilates played a huge role throughout my career and beyond from injury rehabilitation and prevention, to maintaining strength and flexibility as well as balancing overworked muscles.
In 2016 I trained with world renowned STOTT PILATES® and am now a fully certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor. I have over 9 years teaching experience at various boutique Pilates studios and working alongside physiotherapists at various physiotherapy clinics dealing with referrals. I continue to attend courses, workshops and conferences to help support my continuing professional development.
Although I come from a professional dance background, I feel that everyone can benefit from Pilates. I enjoy working with people from a variety of professions and abilities, from beginners to athletes at an advanced level.
When working 1-2-1, I carry out a static postural analysis as part of my personalised approach. Always emphasising quality of movement and technique, encouraging body awareness, strength, mobility and stability this enables clients to progress through exercises safely and efficiently.
