“In both 1:1 and group classes, Alyshia ensures that one can have a tailored Pilates session, with options to push one's limits to varying degrees, with additional focus on detail and quality of movement as well as physical strength, balance and stability. The variety of exercise make all of the classes interesting and keeps them fresh. Her group classes are great and the 1:1s are even better, the blend of Reformer, Mat and Springboard providing a great challenge and I can really feel the benefit of individual coaching. With some underlying back and sciatic nerve issues, in both group and 1:1 classes, Alyshia takes into account, my physiotherapist's advice and always ensures that my safety and general well-being are paramount. “I had the pleasure of attending Alyshia’s reformer class for almost 3 years. Suffering from an arthritic condition that gives me limited mobility in neck and back (AS), I was amazed the progress I made. Key to this was Alyshia’s approach, always asking about how we were feeling at the beginning of the class, then regularly checking in during the class on any issues we had. Every class was interesting and different so the hour flew by. Each week there felt like there was a subtle extra challenge, helping us making steady progress through the months. Always being really clear on the moves we should be doing. Always tweaking when necessary. Always super helpful with spring adjustment! 

I will miss listing off my ailments on a Monday evening (normally involving weekend mountain bike crashes). But I’m not sure I’ll miss “straighten that right knee” as that tiny adjustment made my hamstring work harder ;-) !
